About the Role

You will provide senior operational leadership for Common Operational Picture (COP) capabilities within the C2 portfolio at the Joint Staff J3 N2C3 Division. You’ll lead COP-related planning, execution, assessment, sustainment, and modernization efforts, serving as a principal Joint Staff representative within the joint COP community. You’ll engage directly with Combatant Command stakeholders to synchronize requirements, resolve data integration issues, and promote interoperability across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead COP-related planning, execution, assessment, sustainment, and modernization efforts

  • Serve as principal Joint Staff representative within the joint COP community

  • Engage CCMD stakeholders (JDNOs, JICOs) to synchronize requirements and resolve issues

  • Manage the COP Staff Assistance Visit (SAV) program across Combatant Commands

  • Maintain CJCSI governing the SAV program and supplemental guidance

  • Evaluate COP system performance, compliance, and data integration

  • Provide senior leadership with recommendations on operational risks, gaps, and opportunities

  • Support GCCS-J operational sponsorship and modernization

  • Coordinate in/out-brief materials, after-action reports, and action item tracking

  • Lead the annual COP Working Group and UNCLAS COP Working Group

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience supporting COP systems, joint C2 operations, or operational visualization capabilities

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Direct experience with GCCS-J, Agile Client, SAGE, A/EISS, RAPIDS, or WASABI

  • Prior CCMD COP/SA support or JDNO/JICO experience

  • Knowledge of CJCSI 3151.01C, CJCSI 3115.01, and related COP directives

  • Experience conducting Staff Assistance Visits

  • Knowledge of joint data networks and tactical data links

  • Experience with Five Eyes (FVEY) COP or Mission Partner Environment

Work Environment

100% On-Site at the Pentagon, Room MA924, Washington, DC. Classified NMCC environment. Core hours: 0800–1700, Monday–Friday. Significant travel: SAVs to all CCMDs (PACOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, EUCOM/AFRICOM, SOUTHCOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM) — estimated 12–15 trips/year.
